This collection is an illustrated homage to Providence, Rhode Island, the city where PostersEdu has some roots.
The Providence, Rhode Island School Bus Poster Collection began with a photograph taken during an ordinary winter walk downtown. Looking toward the skyline at sunset, I was reminded that the places we move through every day often become part of our stories. The streets we travel, the views we pass, and the neighborhoods we know by heart quietly shape our memories and sense of belonging.
Rather than creating a literal portrait of Providence, these pieces reimagine the city through color, illustration, and imagination. Familiar skylines, winter sidewalks, city streets, and everyday moments are transformed into vibrant scenes that celebrate the feeling of being here.
The school bus reflects something central to both Providence and the PostersEdu mission: learning happens in communities. Every school day begins with a journey. Children travel through neighborhoods, pass local landmarks, and experience the city around them long before they ever study maps, history, or geography in a classroom. These posters celebrate those everyday moments of learning, observation, and connection.
While inspired by Providence, Rhode Island, these pieces speak to a broader idea: every community contains beauty, history, creativity, and stories worth celebrating. Whether displayed in educational spaces, libraries, offices, community spaces, or homes, these posters are designed to spark conversation, curiosity, local pride, and a deeper appreciation for the places we call home.
Because the places we pass every day can still teach us to look, remember, and belong.
