Every child has knowledge, stories, questions, talents, and experiences worth sharing. Yet children do not all express themselves in the same way.

Many Ways to Show What I Know Poster Collection was created to celebrate those many ways of knowing and expressing ideas.
The collection begins with a vibrant, story-filled art poster designed like a colorful tapestry of learning. Diverse children are shown reading, building, drawing, exploring, creating, communicating, and imagining. Rich details, multilingual greetings, and interconnected scenes invite children to notice that learning can look different from person to person and that every child brings unique strengths, experiences, perspectives, and ways of understanding the world.
The second piece transforms the artwork into a reflection activity centered around the question:
How do YOU show what you know?
Using the poster as inspiration, children are encouraged to think about the many ways ideas come to life. Ideas can be spoken, drawn, written, built, played, shared, acted out, questioned, explored, and imagined. All of it is learning.
For multilingual children, the activity can also open meaningful conversations about language, identity, and expression. Some children think in more than one language. Some tell stories through conversation. Some communicate through art, movement, building, play, or quiet observation. The goal is not to identify one “right” way to learn, but to help children recognize and celebrate the many ways people share their thinking.
The collection concludes with a companion coloring poster designed for younger learners to color, personalize, and make the message their own. Created with larger, child-friendly spaces and simplified illustrations, the coloring page encourages creativity while reinforcing the collection’s central message: there are many ways to show what you know.
